Welcome To Our Practice
If someone in your family has an appointment before the end of the flu season, we will give the flu vaccine then and would like you to bring all of your children who are patients for their flu vaccine at that time. If no one has an appointment before then, please call extension 4 to schedule a flu clinic appointment. All kids under 9 who are receiving the flu vaccine for the first time, or who received flu vaccine for the first time ever last year and only received one dose, will need a booster dose at least 28 days after the first dose of the flu vaccine.
We have received more flu vaccine for kids over 3 years old, and are scheduling flu clinics for kids who do not have an upcoming appointment (or do not have a sibling coming in soon) at this time. If you have the opportunity to get the vaccine elsewhere, please do so, and let us know so we can update your records. New AAP recommendation on influenza vaccine
The AAP/ACIP state "Health care providers should not use live attenuated influenza vaccine (LAIV) in the upcoming 2016-'17 season due to poor effectiveness", a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) committee said Wednesday. Based on this recommendation, we will not be giving FluMist this year.We are now live on MyChart - the patient portal, which provides access to your child's electronic chart. You can print a school form, request an appointment or prescription refill, or send a message to your doctor's nurses. Please click here to sign up today!
We are now offering expanded hours in the early morning and evening, as well as expanded Saturday and Sunday hours for well child care and and sick visits, as needed.
To schedule a sick appointment 7 days a week, dial 773-880-1738, extension 2. If the message is left after regular office hours, the nurses will contact you the following day to schedule an appointment.
